‘Bridgwater YMCA - Opening Doors’

Bridgwater YMCA’s mission is:

‘To open doors for the community to champion young people, creating and enabling sustainable opportunities for change and success’

Children and young people growing up today face new challenges and at times need support. This support can be delivered in many ways but above all must be accessible to the whole community.

The aims and objectives of the YMCA movement and the principles of Mind, Body and Spirit continue to be relevant today. Ensuring we offer opportunities for children and young people to challenge themselves, live healthy lifestyles and explore their faiths is key to our sustained presence within the region.

Staff and Volunteers full commitment is essential in achieving our vision, innovation and creativity will bring our Association into new areas increasing our levels of engagement, positive outcomes and providing the best opportunities for children and young people of today.

We should celebrate the success and be proud of the breadth and depth of our activities. In doing this we should be championing young people and provide facilities that are relevant to our local community. It is every persons right to enjoy and achieve through the services provided by the YMCA.

Over the next five years we will have the opportunities to increase the impact that we can have on the lives of children and young people, this through designing new programmes developing new resources, opening doors and changing lives. An exciting time for all involved. - Martin Hodgson
