George Williams Court

George Williams Court is undergoing an exciting redevelopment, and residents are to be temporarily housed at Thorncombe House. The redevelopment is possible due to funding from the HCA and will see the old building demolished and in its place a contemporary and eco-friendly building which will complement the new Centre that is also currently being built (please see our Flickr page for up to date photos of the site).

The new George Williams Court boasts four single person studio flats, four mobility units providing independent living accommodation for wheel chair users and 35 bedrooms. The 35 bedrooms are grouped in five clusters, with each cluster being made up of seven bedrooms. The seven bedrooms will share a lounge, kitchen and laundry facilities. This site will also feature an apprentice workshop which will provide 70 meters square of workshop space. The building is expected to be completed by approximately Summer 2011.
